L'enquête est désormais lancée pour déterminer la source du code d'accès "salearabe" fourni par Orange à son client Mohamed Zaidi, résidant à Pessac, Gironde. Par Tessa Ivascu.
Début décembre, M. Zaidi s'est vu attribuer comme mot de passe de connexion à internet "salearabe", par son fournisseur d'accès Orange. Choqué, le garagiste français d'origine marocaine a porté plainte.
La directrice régionale Aquitaine d'Orange-France Télécom, Brigitte Audycon, affirme que le courrier "vient bien de chez nous". "C'est quelque chose d'extrêmement choquant, d'inadmissible. Tout le monde est atterré, jusqu'au plus haut niveau de l'entreprise".
Orange vient donc de diligenter "une enquête interne pour comprendre ce qui s'est passé". Puisque les mots de passe sont générés de façon aléatoire par la machine, "une intervention malveillante n'est évidemment pas à exclure", a précisé une porte-parole de la direction. Suspect possible : un téléconseiller de la hotline que le client girondin avait appelé plusieurs fois en décembre à la suite de problèmes de connexion.
